Responsible Person Training
This course is delivered online using Windows Teams and is designed to provide the Responsible Person within an organisation, who are required to manage fire safety with the required skills and knowledge to help meet their obligations within their organisation and the legal responsibilities identified in the Fire Safety Order 2005.
Candidates will also understand the requirements needed to carry out a suitable and sufficient Fire Risk Assessment, the hazards you should look for and how to reduce the risk of fire, a key legal requirement highlighted in the RRO 2005.
COURSE AIMS
A greater understanding of the legal requirements under the Fire Safety Order 2005, Fire Safety Act 2021 and Building Safety Regulations 2022.
The need to have a suitable and sufficient Fire Risk Assessment, adequate Fire Precautions & Fire Safety Policy
Understanding of Fire Escapes and Doors, Safety Signs, and Emergency Lighting
Knowledge of firefighting equipment
Understanding the role of the Fire and Rescue Service Fire Safety Inspector and the range of informal and formal action that can be taken by them.
